Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
Ephesians 6:11
This verse comes from the letter of Paul to the Ephesians, written to the early Christian church. In this letter, Paul is explaining to the Ephesians how to live in a way that is pleasing to God and how to resist temptation from evil forces. He encourages them to “put on the whole armour of God,” which is a metaphor for living a life of faith and obedience. The “the devil’s schemes” refers to the various temptations and deceptions that Satan uses to lead people astray. Paul is exhorting the Ephesians to arm themselves with the truth of God’s Word, prayer, and the power of the Holy Spirit in order to stand against these evil forces and live a life that is pleasing to God.
